You can integrate Bookeo with QuickBooks, and export all your sales and your customer data from Bookeo straight into QuickBooks.
In this article:
Integration with Quickbooks Desktop
1. Go to Settings>Integrations
2. Click on QuickBooks
3. You can decide how to export your data:
Export data by date [1]
In the Date section, select if you want to export sales for last month, last week, or any period of time in the past. It is a good idea to put a reminder in your calendar and run this operation for instance once a month, collecting sales data of the previous month.
Export data by Account [2]
Every QuickBooks setup is unique. You may use different accounts for your sales, your funds and so on. Bookeo lets you specify all the accounts involved.
4. You can also let Bookeo calculate sales tax for you, based on the final price paid by the customer. You can specify up to 3 sales taxes (i.e. local and state).
- Tick the Enabled [3] checkbox to enable a tax
- Input the Account [4] to which the tax corresponds
- Input the Taxation authority [5] to which the tax corresponds
- Input the Tax Description [6] and Rate [7] to which the tax corresponds
5. In the Mode section, from the scroll down menu, select the export Mode [8]:
- Report only tracked payments (what the customer has paid online, and the payments that you have entered manually)
- Assume due amount as paid, unless booking is canceled or no-show (this is useful if you don't take full payment online, and you often forget to mark a booking as paid later)
6. You can also export customers into QuickBooks. Go to the Customers tab and from the Creation date [9] scroll down menu, select if you want to export customers by last month, last week, or any period of time in the past.
To import .iif files generated by Bookeo in QuickBooks Desktop, select File / Utilities / Import / IIF Files... from the QuickBooks menu.
Integration with Quickbooks Online
As to QuickBooks Online, unfortunately, Intuit has decided to not provide a command to import IIF files - IIF is a format that has been in use to import transaction data into QuickBooks since the launch of the product, and as result, this format is widely used by many third-party tools. Given the high demand for the ability to import IIF files in QuickBooks Online, many tools have come up to provide the missing functionality.
Some of the more popular ones are:
- Guru Importer: https://guruimporter.com/
- Zed Axis: https://www.zed-systems.com/axis-import.html
