Courses are a series of classes, where customers register for all the classes of the course. For example, a 6-week course with one class per week. With courses, you can set to:
- create a single booking for all the classes booked, or
- one booking for each class booked.
This article explains the difference between these two course booking modes, and also details how each course booking mode affects other scheduling, reservation, and marketing features offered by Bookeo.

What are the differences between the two course booking modes?
If you select the course booking mode where a single booking is created for the entire course, the system will create one booking, with its own booking number, for the course. The system will send one booking confirmation email to the customer, one reminder, one calendar event, and one thank you email for each course booking. With this course booking mode, if you set a booking status, or mark a no-show, they will apply to all the classes in the course. If you want to cancel or reschedule the booking, all the classes will be cancelled or rescheduled.
If you select the course booking mode where one booking is created for each class booked, the system will create separate bookings for each class in the course. This means that each booking will have its own number. The system will send one booking confirmation email to the customer with multiple calendar events. Reminders, calendar events, and thank you emails will be sent for each class in the course. With this course booking mode, it is also possible to set a specific booking status for each class in the course, mark only some classes as no-shows, and cancel or reschedule (makeup classes) individual classes in the course.

1. Go to Settings>Classes, courses, events

Set the price for a single class
If you set to create one booking for each class booked, the price set for the course, will no longer apply. You will have to go to the Price tab and set a price for a single class when customers book the entire course, and for drop-in classes.5. Save
Course price
If you set to create one booking for each class booked, you can set two different prices:
- a price for a single class when customers book drop-in classes, or register for a late enrollment, and
- a price for a single class when customers book the entire course. This is useful if you want to offer a lower price when customers book the entire course.
To set the course price:
1. Go to the Price tab of the course
2. In the Standard price (single class)[4] section, set the price a single class when customers book drop-in classes, or register for a late enrollment. You can also set Special prices [5] and Taxes [6] applying to a single class when customers book drop-in classes, or register for a late enrollment
3. In the Discount when booking entire course section, you can tick the offer different prices when the customer books the entire course[7] checkbox if you want to set the Standard price (per class, when the customer books the entire course)[8]. You can also set Special prices [9] and Taxes [10] applying to a single class when customers book the entire course.
Important: if you change the course booking mode from "single booking for all the classes booked" to "one booking for each class booked", the old price for the full course will no longer apply. Make sure to set the new prices in the Price tab.
Price displaying on the booking page
If you set to show the price of the course, and use the booking mode showing upcoming classes and courses on your booking page, the course will show under the Classes and the Courses tabs (or the custom names you have set). The price displaying:
- under the Classes tab is the drop-in class price, set in the Price tab, in the Standard price (single class)[4] section
- under the Courses tab is the Standard price (per class, when the customer books the entire course)[8], if set in the Price tab. If this price is not set, then the price set in the Standard price (single class)[4] section will show.
If you select the booking mode where customers select a class/course, then pick an available date, and set to show the headline price, the price shown on the booking page is the drop-in class price, set in the Price tab, in the Standard price (single class)[4].
Payments processed or recorded from the dashboard, and payment requests
If you have set up courses where one booking is created for each class booked, from your dashboard you can charge a credit card, record manual payments, and send payment requests for all the classes in the course only when creating the bookings - before saving them.
If you have already saved the course bookings, and click on a booking, you will only be able to charge a credit card, record manual payments, and send a payment request for a single class booking in the course.
How classes booked as the entire course show on your dashboard
If you select the course booking mode where one booking is created for each class booked. When you click on one of the classes booked in the course, in the When section of the booking, the following message will show This booking is part of a series. View all bookings. You can click on the View all bookings[11] link to see all the other classes booked for that course.
