If you no longer want to offer a custom people category, you can disable it.

Disable a custom people category
To disable a custom people category:
1. Go to Settings>Customer details
2. Go to the Custom person categories tab
3. Click on the name of the people category you want to disable
4. Click on the Disable button.
What happens when you disable a custom people category
If you disable a custom people category this may affect some settings and features:
Feature/Setting | Description |
---|---|
Existing bookings using a disabled people category (account users) | If account users open past or upcoming bookings using a disabled people category, and try and save them, they will have to change the number of participants of the disabled people category to 0. If needed, they can add participants from other people categories. |
Existing bookings using a disabled people category (customers) | If customers try to change upcoming bookings using a disabled people category, the disabled people category will no longer show. Customers will be able to add participants from other people categories. |
New bookings | The disabled custom people category will not show for new bookings for customers. |
Class/tour/activity price settings | The disabled custom people category will not show in the Price tab of a class/tour/activity. |
Special pricing | Special price calculations will ignore any conditions that may have been based on the disabled category. As a result, you may have to create new special pricing. |
Class/tour/activity People settings | The disabled custom people category will not show the People tab and in the Price tab of a class/tour/activity. |
Prepaid Packages |
If in the Conditions section of a prepaid package, you have set that it applies only to bookings made for a disabled people category, credits will no longer be applied. If needed, you can change the settings of the prepaid package, then manually assign credits to a customer profile. |
Specific gift vouchers | Unused specific gift vouchers purchased for the disabled people category will not be redeemable. If needed, you can create a new voucher from your dashboard. |
Re-enable a disabled custom people category
If you want to re-enable a people category that was previously disabled:
1. Go to Settings>Customer details
2. Go to the Custom person categories tab
3. Click on the name of the people category you want to disable
4. Click on the Enable button.
5. Save
- in the People tab of the min. and max number of people allowed per booking
- In the Price tab, any standard and special prices
