How should I set up a Bookeo account for Escape Rooms?

Description

If you offer private games, but also group and player's choice games, you should set up your games as regular tours.

The most used booking mode for the booking page is to show upcoming games. However, you can use any of the booking modes available. Click here for more information.

With regular tours, you can set dynamic booking limits and the call-to-book feature.

If you offer only private games, you can set them up as open schedule tours.

With open schedule tours, you can select one of the layouts for the booking mode where customers select a game, then an available date. Click here for more information.

Group games

With group games, you accept multiple bookings per game (players play with other players they don’t know).

Group games are set up as regular tours. Click here for more information.

It is not possible to offer a game set up as an open schedule tour as a group game. You will have to set up a regular tour. 

Private games

Private games can be set up as regular tours set as private. Click here for more information.

You can set up your private games as open schedule tours. You can adjust the time resolution of your games, and if needed, force games to start and end at specific times.

You should

• Set up your rooms as resources in Settings>Resources. You should set up a resource type, for example, "Rooms", and list all your rooms under that resource type. Click here for more information.
• In the People tab of the activity, you can set the number of people allowed per game.
• In the Resources tab, you can select which resources (for example rooms and game master) can be used for the activity. Click here for more information.

Player’s choice

Let people decide if they want to play with their friends or with people they don’t know.

You should set up a regular tour, and

• set that customers can book the entire game
• set a specific price when the entire game is booked, regardless of the number of participants.

It is not possible to offer a game set up as an open schedule tour as a player's choice game. You will have to set up a regular tour. 

Offer multiple games but run only some games at a time

With regular tours, you can assign the same resource(s) in Virtual Rostering to multiple games. In this way, when there is a booking for one game, the other games at the same  - or overlapping time - assigned to the same resource will be automatically canceled. Click here to learn more.

Open schedule tours offer the flexibility to automatically assign an available resource - for example, a game master and/or a room - to a booking.

They are great if, for example, you offer 3 games but can only run 2 at a time. 

If needed, you should

• Set up your game masters as resources in Settings>Resources. You should set up a resource type, for example, "Game master", and list all your game masters under that resource type. Click here for more information.
• In the Resource tab of the open schedule tour, you can set which game masters can provide the game. Click here for more information.

Offer choice of different durations

Offer a game with different durations, for example, 1 hour or 2 hours.

To offer the choice of different game durations, you should

• Set up separate regular tours - for example, Game A with a 1-hour duration, and Game A with a 2-hour duration - ,and
• Assign the same room to the games schedule in Virtual Rostering. Click here to learn more

To offer the choice of different durations you can set up:

• Different open schedule tours, one for each duration. Ex call them "Game A - 1 hour", "Game A - 2 hours"
