A dropdown list additional option lets customers select one choice from a dropdown list.

Set up a dropdown list additional option
1. To create a dropdown list additional option for your services, in your Bookeo Appointments account:
- For services: Go to Settings>Services offered and additional options and go to the Additional options tab
- For workshops: Go to Settings>Workshops and go to the Options tab
2. Click on the + New option button
3. From the Type [1] dropdown menu, select the customer picks one of the available choices.
4. In the Title [2] field, input the name of the option and its Description [3] (optional).
5. Check the With duration [4] box if you would like the choices created in the Choices section to have durations.
6. Select if you want to set a Default choice [5], that you will set in the Choices section
7. Check the Permissions [6] you desire
- This option is enabled for new bookings Untick this checkbox if you no longer want to offer this option, without affecting existing bookings. Click here for more information
- Customers can see this option The option is shown to customers (in the booking confirmation and reminder emails, and also at checkout if the "Customers can edit this option" checkbox is ticked)
- Customers can edit this option The option is shown to customers at checkout so they can make a selection
Create choices for this option
1. In the Choices section, click on the New choice button. A pop-up window will open.
2. In the General tab:
- Input the Name [7] and Description [8] of the choice.
- Select the Duration [9] (if the choice has a duration)
- If you want, you can select a Color for the calendar [10], to identify bookings with this selected choice
- Check the box next to Permission [11] if you want customers to be able to select the choice
3. In the Price tab:
- Input the price of this choice (total or per person). If your option does not have a price, leave as "0"
- You can enable member prices if you want to set a different price for members
- You can set special prices for this option. Click here for more information
4. In the Availability tab, in the Schedule section, from the dropdown menu select

this choice is always available if this option is available whenever the service is available

this choice is only available during these hours if you want to set a specific weekly schedule for this option
5. In the Availability tab, in the Special available time slots section, you can define special time slots during which this option is available. This is useful, for example, to set the option as available on specific dates, or occasionally at night, in addition to its general availability.
You can also set a restricted availability (i.e. only in December) or when this option is NOT available

6. In the Resources tab, from the dropdown menu select

this choice is available with all resources if the option can be performed by ANY member of your staff, in ANY location (select this even if the option does NOT need to be performed by your staff)

this choice is only available with all the selected resources if this option provided by the selected resources (in the screenshot, the service is only provided by Angela Walls and Sally Sanchez)

7. Set for which services this option is available (option restriction)
In the Restriction section, set if this option is available with all your services, or only with selected services. Click here for more information.
If you set that you want to set a default choice, tick the default value next to the default choice.

To create drop-down list additional options:
1. Go to Settings>Classes, Courses, Events
2. Click on the specific class and go to the Options tab
3. Click on the New option button to create a new field
4. In the Type section [1], from the dropdown list, select the customer picks one of available choices
5. In the Details section, input the name [2] of the option, and its description [3] (optional).
6. Select if you want to set a Default choice [4] that you will set in the Choices section
7. Check the Permissions [5] you desire

8. Tick the Show in summary [6] checkbox if you want this option to show in the summary report.
Create choices for the dropdown list additional option
1. Click on the New choice button.
2. In the General tab input the Name [7] and Description [8] of the choice, and if the choice has a Duration [9]
3. For Personal lesson/appointment, you can choose a Color for the calendar [10] to identify bookings with this selected choice. For more information about the different types of classes click here
4. Check the box next to Permission [11] if you would like the customer to be able to select that choice.
5 . In the Price tab input the price of this choice total or per person
a. the price of the option is total (per booking)
- In the Standard price section, from the dropdown menu, select price type total [12]
- Input the price [13]of this choice.
- If you have enabled memberships in your account, you can tick the Enable member prices checkbox [14], and set a specific price for members.
b. the price of the option is per person
\- In the Standard price section, from the dropdown menu, select price type per person [15]
- Input the price for each people category. You will set a price for adults and for any other people category:
- the price for other people categories can be the same price applied to adults [16], or
- a specific price [17].
- If you have enabled memberships in your account, you can tick the Enable member prices checkbox [18], and set a specific price for members [19].
- In the Special prices section, you can define special prices for this option, applying during pricing seasons, days/time of the week, number of people, group/family discounts.
- In the Taxes section, you can select which taxes apply to this option.
- Save.
Set availability for the choices
1. From the dropdown menu in the Availability tab set:

this choice is always available

or use a specific schedule for this option, for each day of the week
2. Set special availability, restricted availability or unavailability

you can define special time slots during which this option is available. This is useful, for example, to set the option as available on specific dates, or occasionally at night, besides the general availability.

Repeat for each choice for this option.
Courses and additional options
If, for a course, you select the course booking mode to create a single booking for all the classes booked, and
- a customer makes a booking for a full course or a late enrollment, the system will add one additional option to the booking. For example, if you set up a book @ $10 as an additional option, and customers select it during the booking process, the book and its price will be added once to the booking.
- a customer makes a booking for drop-in classes in a course, the option will be added to each booking. For example, if you set up a book @ $10 as an additional option, and customers select it during the booking process, the book and its price will be added to each booking
If, for a course, you select the course booking mode to create one booking for each class booked, and a customer makes a booking for a full course, late enrollment or drop-in classes, the option will be added to each booking. For example, if you set up a book @ $10 as an additional option, and customers select it during the booking process, the book and its price will be added to each booking.
